It's looking that the drive to the UK's EV future is accelerating. In the second video below, the BBC asks whether the UK will be ready for 2030 - the suspected new deadline for the ban of new petrol and diesel car sales.

With less than ten years to go, EV sales are already on the up and the demand is increasing quickly. The demand for homes and commercial premises to have solutions for EV charging is therefore also going to increase.

Should you wait? Or as a shrewd professional electrician should you be looking at the jobs you are doing today? Should you be advising customers right now on possible changes to the installation being worked on that, if carried out today, will make the installation of EV charging solutions easier tomorrow?

Before you take a look at the BBC video, Dave Austin gives some advice that will help you get ahead of the game. It really is time to make sure you understand the detailed requirements and possible solutions that your customers are going to need.
